great used on stems through-out the season. small cracks and bite marks as well. pap

DaO, the only reason I could imagine is: Bite it and it will grow stronger to fight (or bite) back! In the squash scene this is a long known phenomenon, bite it and the squash will become a giant (the first example, as far as I recall, was called HULK). Then AG growers tried to mimic the HULK-phenomenon, first attempts were probably made in the Wallace patches, and the results were called FREAK, FREAK-2 etc.). (my interpretation, others might have more entertaining versions)
