Subject: getting new pumpkins to lay down

Forgive another newbie question....the three pumpkins that I have started (all are under a week old) are all standing up by their stems on the vine. As they grow and increase in size will they lay down on their own?...or should I be trying to manipulate the vine to lay them on their sides before they grow larger?? (All are about lightbulb size at this point) Thanks for your advice.

Ya , unless they have a small crack in the stem somewhere and snap off as they are in the process of making it to the ground ...
