fans work well to dry up soft areas on the stem and/or any vines that develop small weeping splits ,etc. the combination of applied sulfer powder and a warm air fan usually help dry things up greatly. especially when the humid weather sets in. keeping these areas dry during rain storms helps greatly as well. pap

ps---------keep the fan close enough so the breeze will do its job. small fans ? six to eight inches away.
