I have a vine that has started growing off the stump. Should it be cut off? If so, do you need to put anything on the cut ?
Thanks PG

If you are talking late season unexpected growth, then yes cut them off. That goes for the main vine and secondaries also. I don't treat my cuts with anything but many growers would use captan powder, sulfer powder, bleach or hydrogen peroxide.... In very dilute concentrations.

On one of the stumps I had found lots of sudden late season growth, and I have cut it off. Have not put any chemicals on it, hope it just dries and remains perfect.
