My plants have set up two fruit each. Is it safe to resume weekly fertilizing with 20-20-20? Does fertilizing post fruit-set cause issues with aborting?
Thanks in advance, Michael

It depends on what your soil is like. But usually after the pumpkin is at day 20. Any earlier may cause the pumpkin to abort.

I think it is synthetic fertilizers that are the problem during pollination time. I remember reading that fish and seaweed are ok to use during pollination.

high nitrates may be a problem during pollination time.
very few growers use 20-20-20 any more at all during the season, though.

Can I add to this? I stopped fertilising at least 10 days ago and was wondering if I should be adding P or K at the moment or just leave the plant alone until day 20 of fruit set.

In stop any nitrogen a few days before pollination, and resume all normal ferts within 3 days after.
