when cutting first set of seconds and back main how far should cut be from stump or main? Thanks for the help

Why do you want to cut them? The first set of secondaries are probably the most productive/thickest as the season progresses. I would let them grow for 2ft and terminate. paint the ends with fungicide, let it dry and then bury the ends.

I had read in previous posts to remove first set of seconds
and back main. Was really concerned about cutting any thing
too close to the main. Thanks for the info, I have cut first
secondary on one plant but not my other plants.

BeeZr,

WiZ countZ to three....one should be able to count up to it...main, secondary, third....third comeZ off...along with the clipping the tendrill. Dig a lil trench......Pinch of Mycho on the top and bottom at the root nodeZ... then bury it.... Usaually my secondaries also have a coat hanger and a tomato stick for the end tips....

If one iZ burying the main then we need to be careful not to cover up the secondary budZ on the main with dirt.....I like to wait so they are out of the way...and nicely grown......GrowZem BIG!

Course...one should also add a few other special ammendmentZ to the nodez....like granular humic, lil kelp meal, Yum Yum Yum...the mix... maybe a lil granular molasses....BIOTAMAX drip....maybe a bit of Actinovate.....
