What steps are required after taking the seeds from the pumpkin? Wash, dehydrate, freeze? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm a newbie, but this is what I was told.
wash in a 10% bleach solution rinse well pat dry with a towel lay out one layer thick (on a screen with a fan on low blowing on them works really well) if not on a screen need to turn often. I've been advised to wait at least 3 weeks. store in a cool dry place (I put mine in a labeled peanut butter jar with some silica packs in it)

marty, try doing site search for "seed drying" ..or variations!!! Thinkin that screen, and air flow & time are the keys...after the original scrubbin, that is!!! A quick wash w/ some type of anti nastiness agent is prbly a good idea?? Drying time...? when the skins fly...they are prbly dry!"!! Peace, Wayne

Make sure they are totally dry if your going to seal them in a air tight container such as a mason jar or tupperware. After the seed shell is dry two to three weeks I put em' in a paper bag for another monthplus -then in mason jar down in the cellar
