I am a new at growing the big ones. How do you get good seeds? I see on line where people pay $100-500 for a good seed. Help?

The $100 dollar and up seeds are great seeds. Good seeds can be had for free and they just might turn out to be great seeds in the future. There's a fine line between great and good these days. Look in the Seed Exchange forum for a good selection of freebies.

post on the seed exchange board or just look at it. many growers offer great seeds for the price of a bubble envelope.

You could send a sasbe, self addressed stamped bubble envelope, in another envelope, does not have to be bubble to one of the offers at the seed exchange, or put a posting in seed exchange asking for seeds, or ask for a perticular seed. aggc.org has picts of many of the heaviest pumpkins starting with the world record, you can check out the family tree for each pumpkin on there and find out what seed grew what, if its in a family tree.

the best way to improve seeds ya get is to do soil right. first. could care less what ya plant if soil is bad results will be bad.
