IM going to add organimix compost to the plot, should it be done this fall or wait till spring... thanks

rybec, You need to get your soil tested before you do anything else,A&L labs in Modesto, Ca. is the place,look them up on the web and print out the form follow the instructions cost is a little over 30.00 get the recomendations for your soil just a dollar more and make sure where it asks for the crop indicate giant pumpkin this fall you can get your soil off to a good start and in the spring do another test to adjust before you plant,have fun!

the eastern office of A&L labs charges about half what the western office in Modesto does for the same tests.

You can't get a better compost than Organimix... absolutely do it in the fall and, if you can, add to it next Spring.
