Hi. How long should I leave m soaker hose on to water mthe pumpkin and when is the best time to do so....i read early between 5am and 8:30 am THanks

I depends on your soil drainage..if you have lots of clay less water is needed. You have to go off a gut feeling. Never water to the point where it is flooded.

Do so in the morning or day. Watering at night or late evening is a potion for powdery mildew.

like Linus said, it depends on your soil.
My dad taught me that the perfect moisture level is determined by the following test that has always worked for me.
Dig a hole about 6-8 inches deep. The dirt should feel moist, but not slimy wet. Take the the dirt from the bottom of the hole and squeeze it into a ball. It should form a ball but be able to crumble it apart when rubbed between your fingers.
