Middle TN

I ordered both nutri-cal and CO2. I wasnt thinking that both products are primarily calcium. Can I use both without over loading my pumpkin? Should I rotate them?

rotate is a good way to go. you could also do a 50/50 mixture.

forgive me if i'm being dumb but CO2 is 1 carbon atom and 2 oxygen atoms so how is it primarily calcium?

Calcium oxide is lime. Calcium carbonate is a little different I think.

tammy . i rotate.. tko/nutri-cal.. once a week.. but every 2 weeks i add CO2.. to mixture.. or spray seperate.. .. plants lets me know.. watch the leaves.. on ur plants, my way.. Curt

Nic the CO2 product is calcium carbonate (lime). So is Lithovit.

You are thinking of quicklime used in construction when you say calcium oxide. Gardeners use calcium carbonate.

C= Carbon. Ca= Calcium. C02 is Carbon Dioxide. Calcium Carbonate is CAC03

Yes Linus but CO2 is a gas at room temperature so for a powder you have to apply it as calcium carbonate.
