How long does it usually take to see new growth after transplanting new seedlings outdoors in a cold frame.

under the right conditions they never slow down, if you have clouds and cold be patient

A lot of factors play in the equation, some of them being: Soil temp, air temp highs, air temp lows, quality of soil, wind protection.

If the soil temp is above 65 and your getting daytime highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s-60s those plants will keep chugging along, but the reality is for most of us it never works out like that and after transplant the cold weather and cool soil slows progress a crawl till things warm up.

I forgot to mention another key factor which is the amount of direct sunlight exposure.

my plants have been in my hoops for 2 days now.
i have soil heating cables burried.

I have noticed growth on all 4 plants already....not much, but the 1st true leaf got bigger on them all.

Daytime temps in the hoops are higher then i want, like 90-95, but i cant open them anymore then i have them opened already with the heavy winds i am having here....night time temps here range from 45-60 in the hoops.

Be Patient <-----something i keep reminding myself.

Thanks for the replies.....I just got back from a fishing trip at Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee. I am happy to say I had noticeable growth after being gone for 3 days.
