I have a 30x 30 patch in which I plan on growing 2 pumpkins. I am going to start them in the middle of the patch growing them in oppisite directions Ill plant them 3 feet apart form one another. My question is when I am going to bend the main vine to try to get my 20' out of it but how far out do i start bending it so that my secondiaies will still have some lenght on them?

I don't suggest back to back planting as they will be fighting for the same nutrients. I would put them in the opposite corners. if you go with your plan, you can start bending the main GENTLY as soon as you want, and just let the secondaries grow to the room available, if they are longer on one side than the other, makes no difference
