Im finding quite a bit of condensation inside the hoop every morning and on the leaves which makes me worry about powdery mildew developing. Im wondering if I run a small fan at night would that help keep the condensation off the leaves? Or would it chill the plant? Bad idea or worth a shot? Tammy

It's too early for PM but keeping the seedling dry is still a good idea.

Thanks Tremor, so running a fan at night wouldnt hurt the seedling?
I didnt know it was too early for PM, PM ended my season last year so Im determined to do all I can to avoid it this year. I know moisture on the leaves is a bad bad thing, I learned the hard way :( Tammy

A gentle flow of air will make a stockier plant. I start late here and place the seedlings outdoors right away. Hence we get into the ground sooner than most.

Too early for powdery mildew would be relative to what zone you are in. I am getting PM on my roses right now. Lots of cold, wet weather here.
