Hi all.
A roudy conversation in the pub soon turned into a pumpkin-growing competition! So far 10 of us are joining in and it's all getting very competitive. I have an allotment with sandy soil and I've dug in plenty of compost to my new patch. The seedlings are in their second week, on a ledge under the velux windows in our warm flat. Can't believe how fast they are growing! They are the Atlantic Giant variety. There are no rules regarding growing our pumpkins, so I was wondering what may help them along? Miracle-gro? Blood fish and bone? I will be planting seed potatoes on the other side of the allotment and I've heard these are detrimental to pumpkin growth.
Any tips warmly received!!

i hope you have them in 5 gallon buckets or they are probably already root bound, get them in the ground and build a hoop house over them for now if you can. you really need a soil test on your allotment spot to determine what would be best or needed at all by your plant
