I'm new to growing Giant Pumpkins, this will be my first year. Although I am an adult, gardening is something that my dad & I actually do together & we are very excited about our first attempt at growing giants. We have "real" seeds & are working to get everything prepped for our first attempt!
I've been reading on the boards & keep seeing Bear Wallow in Kentucky mentioned. I give up... what is it?
Thanks!

Bear Wallow is a farm that hosts a weigh off in Nancy, KY http://www.lakecumberlandlive.com/bearwallow/
Bear Wallow was the first weigh off I ever went to, and is what encouraged me to seriously try growing a giant :) Tammy

Bear Wallow farm has an awesome pumpkin cannon and a corn maze that takes 5 hours to get out of!

DR78, once again...welcome aboard!!! Bear Wallow Farm is near Nancy, KY., and is where the Kentucky Giant Pumpkin Growers, hold their annual weigh-off. We also weigh other giants, melons etc!!! Usually 3rd Saturday in September. It is a family friendly place, w/ petting zoo, corn maze, hay ride to the pkn pickin patch, and most amazingly....pkn cannon & lots of Slungers,(Slungers are also known as Giant Pkns!!!LOL) especially on weigh-off day!!! Hope to meet you there in September. Any other questions, feel free to email me at wsmpeace@bellsouth.net Peace, Wayne

Thanks Wayne! I think we will definitely be making a trip your way this fall. It's not quite 2 hours from us, so that's an easy drive! Stephanie
