Can you please give me some advice. This is my first year - Day 65 - the main vine has developed a crack approx 1 inch long and 1/4 inch wide about 4 feet upstream from the fruit. It appears soft with a jelly consistenct in the centre. the remaining stem is firm. I have tried to dry the area, are ther any chemical preparations that I should apply? I read that sulphur dust is used for stem cracks - sould I apply this and possibly an antifungal?
Thanks for advice

make a hole in the bottom and try to let the jelly leak out,,,dry dry dry after that. Keep a close eye on it after and if it dont help fast,,amputate and work without the stump,
