Is there anyway to get a male to open up quicker? I have a female which looks like it may open Monday? and a male that looks like it is a day or 2 behind. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The pollen won't be mature until the male is ready to open naturally. If you did get it to open early I don't think it would be any good.

Start calling around in your area and get some male pollen from someone else's plant. That way you will have a chance to pollinate the female when it opens. Otherwise it will go to waste.

I'm not sure who else is in the Newark Ohio except for Nic in Pataskala and I just sent him an email. Thanks for the advice!
