I am noticing growth on my female pollinated on the fourth of July. It is about softball sized-no quantitative measurements taken yet. I know it varies based on many factors(genetics, weather, other pumpkins on vine, etc.), but when should i start seeing real growth on this fruit?

I'll take a wild guess if your plant is in good shape around July 24th you be putting on the big gains daily.

CC is measured Horizontally around the widest part of the pumpkin. I start just above were the stem is then go around just above the blossom end then back around to the stem where i started.

There is only one correct way to measure.
