My main stem broke in half so culled it off. Should I try to pollinate a pumpkin on the side vines?

Ideally you'd have time to grow a secondary into a new main. How long is the vine that is left?

the main vine is still about 10 feet long and the plant is very aggressive. And the secondaries are just as thick and fruitful as the main.
