I am dealing with commercial seed this year so I am trying to get my "seeds in a row" for next year. The plants are doing well, but I would love to try seed with proven genetics. If anyone is willing to help, please let me know. I have found an immense amount of information on here, but any info that anyone can give me is much appreciated. Is there a reason why bubble envelopes are preferred? Also, I am willing to wait for your 2009 harvest, but like I said, I am trying to plan for next year because the fall and winter may be hectic with baby #3 on the way. thanks. justin Mercersburg, PA

Most of us are through with season in October, asking about then for some seeds should get you a lot of responses.
A SASB (self addressed stamped bubble) is so the seeds don't get mushed in the mail. Some have gotten broken seeds.
Make sure you put enough postage on your SASB. An extra stamp on it will go a long ways on good will for those sending you things, that they don't have to pay postage.
Put a note in, explaining when you talked to them and asked them; and thank them!
A SASB request for me costs about $4 with bubble, outer manila, postage on SASB and the outer envelope, and the stationary I use. It would be a little less for what it costs just to send someone seeds, and I always put enough postage on (size plus weight plus a few more stamps) on the return bubble. But. It can add up.
Also ask first, some big growers get inundated with requests, and can't always honor every one. If I get anything I'd be glad to help ya.

Join a club! They will probably have a seed distribution after everyone dries out there seeds from this year. I Last year was my first year and I joined the NY group.
NYSGPGA. I got a box in the mail one day with so many seeds, it was hard to pick a line up for this year.
You are welcome to my seed if I get one on this year.

I agree join a club and you can get more seeds than you can ever grow, I have probably a 50 year supply here.
