When I transplant my plants from the indoors to the garden, should I create a hill or mound for each plant?

A lot of growers like mounds to help heat the soil around the young plant.

If you make a mound make sure it is wide on top and the slopes on it are very flat. If they get too steep ot the mound is too small, the vine can crack when it starts to lay down. I learned that the hard way.
