If you are new to giant pumpkin growing and trying to decide which seed to grow or would just like to learn more about Atlantic Giant seed family trees feel free to visit www.pumpkinlink.com. On the site you can see the genetic crosses of about 8,900 seeds.
Some more information for new growers: The number before the name (i.e. 1689) is the pounds that a pumpkin weighed. The name after the number is the growers name (i.e. Jutras). So, for example, the seed that came from the world record pumpkin would be called the 1689 Jutras. The cross for the 1689 Jutras would be 998.6 Pukos x 1225 Jutras. The 998.6 would be the female portion of the cross (the seed that the plant came from) and the 1225 Jutras would be the male pollinator of the pumpkin. The pollinator does not affect the pumpkin on the plant. It only affects the genetics in the seed.
