Hi guys, I pollinated a flower on the 19 of Jan, the pumpkin is now measuring 132 OTT 6o lbs and gaining about 10lbs a night. The plant is not very vigorous but looks healthy enough. Is this a reasonable size and weight gain for this pumpkin. what should I be putting on the plant at this stage..Any advice or opinion would be appreciated....
Cheers Brent...

That's a good day 15 measurement. The lbs per day should start really picking up now. I would go with a moderate foliar fert program and moderate watering.

Hi there Kirk. I have three in this year. they went in a bit late. but we will not get a frost here before late may so plenty of time. The pumpkin referred to here is a 857 Myeres/06. I also have a couple of Don Langevin's growing. 1450x1502 Wallace that are not doing well at all. One is growing from the same pit as the Myeres. go figure. should I be giving this pumpkin a bit of potassium as well as a foliar fert. It was good to see you break the 1000 barrier Kirk..
Thanks for your post Ron

Those Langevins, are they the 1018 Langevin 07? I grew one....
They did okay in 40-41 C but I had to mist them a lot and they got some near dinnertime shade because of the windbreak fence....
