Monster, I had the very same problem. However this is how I solved it. I did a search on computer of every organic garding/ weed feed place with in 100 miles of me and came up with 23 places. Some had website's and some didn't, I called the ones that didn't and checked out web sites for the ones that had them. I came up with 3 places in 100 miles that sold kelp. I drove 68 miles to get it and found 3 other soil ammendments that I needed when I got there.

Sorry I missed your post yesterday dreamer, I got humic acid, gypsum and lime AND KELP all in the same place. I have talked to several other growers and this doesn't seem to big of a deal up north or out west but down south these things are VERY hard to find. Except for the lime. Troop

Hi. Is there anything wrong with getting dry kelp straight from the beach, rinsing it then letting it dry and rototill into soil. We live very close to beach and there is always a ton of it down there. Thanks. Steve

steve: nothing wrong with it, i pickup the brown rock weed from the beach rinse it and dry it on large screens, then crush it up. just make sure you rinse all the salt out of it. Glenn
