Hi. This is our first year so we are pretty nervous about our pumpkins and keeping them healthy - and trying not to fall prey to all the common problems. Today I noticed this split in the stem on our favorite pumpkin - it is last photo in our pumpkins diary. Is this something I should be worried about? This pumpkin has had splits in stem since it started growing that have continued to heal themselves. I am hoping this is another one of these as it is still growing over 20 pounds a day. If it is something i should worry about is there anything I can do to help mend it. Thanks. Steve

Hi. I looked at the diaries and am wondering - how do you mix the sulfer paste and also how do you make relief cuts? Is that what we should do now? Thanks. Steve

Capitan or lime on the split...keep it dry and apply a fan if possible!
