I have noticed that on one of my plants, the leaves closer to the stump are starting to get lighter in color. Is this a sign of something not so good to come or is it normal? Hopefully the it is normal.

It sounds like it is from old growth, and that is normal.

I have them on every plant, it's normal. Some will even discolor to a brown and wilt.

I like to prune them off when 3/4 of the leaf is yellow and wilting.
