First time here. I have four plants growing pretty well now, a few decent sized pumpkins ofr my first time. One has really taken off and surpassed the ones that set before it did. Anyway, I guess my main question is what is the correct way to go about burying vines? I've never done so but after reading a lot of the posts on here it sounds like it could really help.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

I try to keep up with burying all secondary vines out to the last 3 or 4 newest leaves near the vine tips...about 1 inch over the top of the vine. I trench out ahead of the vines about 2 ft every 3 or 4 days. The main vine I let grow on top of the ground & cover with soil until I'm within about 3 ft of where I pollinate my first pumpkin.
