I have one fruit off the main doing quite well, gaining good size every day. There is a secondary vine growing RIGHT next to it. The secondary comes out like 1 inch from where the fruit is coming out from the main. Should I cut this secondary??

Definitely cut it off. The pumpkin will grow right over it and end up splitting the vine or tearing itself right off. I have one like that I am going to cut off today.

It seems typical in alot of plants to have a secondary vine growing right off or near the fruit on the main vine. I'm having the same dilemma, how close to the main vine should I cut the secondary?
