Subject: culling recommendations?

Hi. This is our first year and we have two plants from seeds out of Canada. The both are doing great and one pumpkin is at 41" around center at 20 days. The other is a bit behind this. My question. Since this one seems to be doing so well should I cull of my secondary pumpkin on this plant. It is only about 20" around. Big one is only about 8 feet from roots but is growing well. It is a very ugly pumpkin but growing very fast. It came from second place pumpkin in Canada last year - 1380 pounds and I had to pollinate to self because of lack of choices. Thank you for any feedback on this. Steve

i would keep them both for another week.. if the big ugly one is still getting fat, rid the other one
