I picked up some Atlantic Giant seeds this year at a local nursery and I need some help. I planted six seeds and only one plant has grown. The plant is about six feet long and only has one female. I have a small pumpkin I hope will set but, I need some advice on what to do. I am not sure if it has pollinated yet and I have seen some cuke beetles on the male flowers. I know the plant is not big yet but, I am worried that I only have one female and it is close to the main roots. Ant advice on how to get more female flowers. Also, I am worried about the cuke beetles. I have dusted the planted and it looks alright so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hey Tarps....Plenty of reading to do on this sight alone. Use the search engine for specific areas of immediate need. they're are thousands of posts on pests and other problems....soil prep, seed starting, you can just keep backing up a page at a time...do a site search for bloom buster...you'll see what I mean.

Hey Paul, I would hit the plant with some bloom booster like 15-30-15 at least once a week. Second year grower, Jim

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the advice. I will get some of the bloom buster and see if that helps. I am new to this so I probably did not prepeare the soil well enough this year. Plus the seeds are store bought so they probably are not the best. Anyway I will search the site for some tips. Thanks again Paul.

PS Jim is this rain ever going to stop? lol

Tarps-

If you (and anyone else) want some good information on what you should be doing in the patch now, take a look at www.Team-Pumpkin.org

Go to the “In The Patch NOW” section for current info, but also check out the “Season Timeline” headline. There is a lot of good tips here and it is being updated as the season progresses.

Best of luck this year!!
