2 weeks ago I had an abundance of male blooms... I would say in the past 4 days I haven't had any blooms.. Well I now have what I have been praying for.... females 3 of them but I have no males. I think I see what could be some early stages of a male flower ..My question is.. Is this a lost cause? Do the vines quit making blooms or do they bloom male & females until the first frost? Just when do they quit making blooms?

The plants will keep making blooms until it is dead. Sick plants will make mostly male blooms. Sounds like a timing issue. You could post a request for pollen from someone close to you

Thanks for your reply.. I believe you are right about timing. I will keep a watch on things. My female blooms have not opened yet so I still could be in luck. I think I will call the University of Tennessee Ag center they might be able to help with some males or know someone...

you can store males in fridge if they are gonna open next day, In refridge for maybe 2 days or so. But probly not as good as keeping in windowsill overnight & useing next day. Be sure windowsill has no bees!!
