603 Muller throws the deepest orange/red pumpkin I have ever seen. Most of them have great shape too. A few growers have made really good crosses with the Muller seed.

1009 Young is reputed to grow a nice ORANGE pumpkin. It also tends to have a 'yellow' vine that looks ill but isn't. I'm going to find out this season...

Try contacting Orangeneck. He has made some great 603 crosses that we both grew. Check our 2007 diary out. His 434 and 423 are very dark and I would consider on the red side.

2 of the bigger orange producers are the 772 Poirier (grew a 1290) and the 919 Richards (grew the 1159 I believe). Both of these were VERY VERY orange.

Also another is the 1046 Bowles. Not quite as perfect as the 772, but also very shiny orange.

I have 3 fruit set on my 183 Bosworth and hope to have a ton of seeds for next season :)
