I have yellow spots within the leaves, is this a lack of nitrogen or is it some kind of fungus?

sometimes it also indicates a need for magnesium

Some yellow spots are genetic and don't appear to cause any harm.

Don't add mg just to add mg. My soil is very high in mg and I get yellow spots.

Probably due to over watering, usuall happens to my first few leaves as I have a clay base soil that stays really wet.

The mysterious chlorophyl deficiency. Sunshine & time usually clears this up...but not always.

I have the same issue, I think. It seems to start on the tip of the leaf with a few yellow spots. My diary does show a picture with that problem.
One question for the group: I was told no more than 1 gallon of water a week when the plant is young. Now you can see my plant on my diary here: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=86499 Whe is it time to give it more water? Now the temperature is getting into the nineties, here during the day.
Thanks you and happy gardening from Colorado
