Hello,
today morning I found my 800 Neily 07 plant with broken mainvine :-(
Here is a picture:

what can I do by this accident?
Would it help to bury the broken vine with soil to make new roots?
My 800 Neily 07 was my best plant, it grows so fast.

thank you for your answere Alexsdad.
yes, the picture comes not up automatic here, you must copy the link in your browser address line to see the picture.

The problem is, the vine was broken near where the vine comes out of the soil.
Only the half vine can supply the plant now.
Today we had +85 °F and the leaves are not weak.
Maybe it's enough supply to let it grow.
I will try bury the vine to makes new roots for supply.

stephan,,your main vine broke because of stress on,,try avoiding stress by supporting vines,,,and try to keep some slack in em. handle you plants only when its hot, the vines wil be flexible. if not they wil snap like your main did.

I had one break the exact same way last year. You can take a bread tie and tie it around that split part and pull the vine back together and chances are it will heal itself in a couple weeks if you keep it dry and treat it with Captan powder.

That is not good, you now have only 1/2 of the vine to feed your plant. if you have the time save this one and see what she will do. make sure you cover your secondaries for added nutrient uptake, you could still go over 1000 I think.

do not bury this break, let it dry out

Use tonunge depressorr or popsicle sticks on each side to support the vine and tie it together in splint fashion with the bread ties like hoots dirt suggested. It will "fuse" together in about 3 weeks time and in the meantine the rest of the vine will keep on going. Should be OK. Can think in terms like only 1/2 of vine is feeding but I like to think in terms like twice as much is now going through 1/2 as much space. In that manner your not losing anything. My personal experince has found the latter statment to be true but I can state it as fact.
