I need imfo. on how deep and content of starter holes..I have 2 bags of worm castings4 bags of humas.for 2 holes.i'm am planning to mix with garden dirt.Any ideas? Tip's? ...Thank's

goshen its not critical to have a deep amended "pit" for a planting area.The vast majority of pumpkin roots stay in the top 8" of soil.Put your amendments in a 4 foot circle.blend them in evenly and then dig your planting hole in the middle.That will help mound the area(a slight hill)and make the amendments available for the plants early growth.
