I've seen this term describing a vine training technique used to position a fruit - can anybody provide a description of how this is done and the benefit? Thanks, Jim

When you set a fruit, begin to curve the vine away from the fruit (close to 90 deg. as possible) and after it grows a bit more, curve back to the original direction.
This is used to provide slack for the vine when the pumpkin grows, so the vine doesn't experience too much tension.
