Can seeds from the same pumpkin be pollinated together or when you get the seeds do you need to order two different orders with seeds from different pumpkins? Also Are the shiny darker tan/brown seeds any different than the whiter duller seeds?

Check the genetics and breeding page some recent posts address some of this. Also a thread 1/2 way down the general Discussion Page hits on the brown/white issue.
I think they call it "self polinated" when you pollinate 1 plant(seed) on itself, "cross Pollinated" when you use a Male flower from 1 to pollinate a Female Flower on a different Plant(seed), and "open Polination", when you let the bees decide.
Ps you're pollinating the Female flower of the Plant, not the seed. Being a Newbie, Take my info with a grain of michorazae, and check out the threads of the Heavy Hitters Kevin

Lots of seeds have been self pollinated over the years. Nothing wrong with it. All depends on what kind of genetics you are trying to produce.
