Hi BP Friends, I would like to know how long you can keep the seeds and how to preserve them? Thank You.

I read a story not long ago about a guy finding his mothers pumpkin seeds in the shed out back. So happens that in 1950 his mother won the city/county fair pumpkin Pie Baking contest a few years in a row and she saved the seeds in a old mason jar and kept them in a dark, cool spot. The guy planted a few and as the story went, they germinated and he grew the 50 some odd year old seeds into mature plants. Make sure the seeds are dry and seal them in a air tight jar, then store them in a cool or cold area preferably a refrigerator.

freezing is the best, if you have a "frost free" freezer you need to insulate your seeds from the warming cycle do not just lay a bag of seeds on top of the stuff in the freezer.

Thank you friends. I hope to receive some seeds soon. I will try out a few and store the rest for some other time.
I appreciate your kind response.
