just wanted to let you all know that the jack o lanterns were a hit with my grandson. he came to visit over the weekend and have a birthday party here with his ol' grandpa and grandma and he got to see the pumpkins we took care of over the summer for him, he was thrilled and they were so big he couldn't hardly carry one alone. thanks to you all who answered my "dumb" questions with so much interest and help. you helped make my grandson Konnors' BD a great one, he was so proud of his pumpkins he took them home to carve for halloween. we enjoyed growing and learning about pumpkins so much that we plan to use part of our acre next year to grow a BP, hubby is excited and we plan to grow gourds also. thank you, thank you , thank you, sooo very much- this site is full of the nicest people I have met in the 8 yrs. I have been online. luv all you guys alot!!!!!! and you know who you are!!!- happy grandma in tx, lydia

That's what its all about.Im so very happy the pumpkins held up for you and grandson!!
I bet Konnor will remember his birthday&Pumpkins for a very long time.

Try growing afew Atlantic Giant Pumpkins next year along with your field pumpkins.Konner wont believe his eyes when he sees how big his Grandma & Grandpa can grow pumpkins.
wait till you grow a pumpkin big enough for your grandson to fit inside,makes for some fun photos!!!
