I had a vine borer in my main vine, I found it and cut it out, then I sprayed the vine with my 3 in 1, is there anything else I should do and is it the end of that vine?

No, it's not the end. Scrape away any of the soft stuff and keep it dry.

Im surprised that you still have borers usually the damage is already done by now. But just keep it dry and continue to monitor your plants.

123... I feel for ya... I cut out two borers last night. Why these things are hatching now in late Aug I have no idea! I am surprised that I'm still dealing with this problem so late in August. Maybe it's the rain? I don't know. But, it sure is a mess and teaches me to keep the systemics going even through August. Two weeks ago I cut out two borers that were gnawing on the socket of a secondary vine and the main vine. Now, that part is swollen but not too soft. I put a huge hole in the socket and packed them with Captan. I hope you have success with the main. Like Jason said, you've got to keep it dry. I would add use a fungicide also. You don't want half a plant feeding your pumpkins! Very best wishes! Greg

Christrules your still dealing with Borers that stinks man. I picked off hundreds off eggs this year and had to lose some darn good plants. Im a little nervous now I think I better check for eggs tonight. I didnt get systemitics this year and thought last week was gonna be my last spray well I guess not. I didnt think they would still be hatching though I havent seen any moths in about two weeks.
