Owensboro, Ky.

Bumkin, I think this stuff is used by paper mills, they spread the pulp real thin on it and then dry the pulp to make paper (I have been wrong before, and not positive about this one)...if you go to the equipment for sale list on this message board, and go to the fourthe post from the top of the list, BINGO!!!!!!! Hope this helps. Peace, Wayne

Local pulp mill is the best place but as I understand it, the belts are only changed occasionally as they cost like $50,000 (or something like that). The belts are huge but when cut to size, drain perfectly with sand & permit movement all while blocking mice.

We have our pumpkins sitting on mill fabric - check my diary.

I've had that piece for about 4 years & other than duct taping it up into a roll the first year to save space, have never done a thing to maintain it. Last year it was under the wheels of my boat trailer all winter & looks no worse for the wear.

Crossett Arkansas

Bumkin, if you live near a paper mill call their salvage department. We use to get it by the trailer load here in crossett, but they have shut down our salvage yard. When paper is made the pulp is sprayed on the wire (the stuff everyone calls mill fabric)the water drains through and then the paper is past off to the felt. Both of these fabrics hold the paper until it is dry enough to go through the machine on its own. If there is a salvage yard in your area tell them you want the wire side. Go to Tremors Diary and you can see what a small piece of it looks like.
