Lets say the pumpkin gets a split or whole but ya want to let it grow at least for exhibition. What do you use to fill it with. Thanks

Silicone Caulk...But if Air has reached the cavity...game is over most of the time.

Silocone caulk..Thanks I havent had any splits yet but I like to be prepared.

I had one go down at 300# last year. Split the blossom. I caulked it the same morning it split. That was about August 5th and I weighed it in October at 783#. It actually went heavy.

Make sure if you caulk you get it on HEAVY. You don't want the caulk to stretch and open up again. I had to re-caulk mine last year and it got air because of it. Air in the cavity is not a good thing as Shannon states above.
