is there any special way to cut or trim pumpkin vines or should i leave them alone

normally a grower has a set space once the secoundaries reach a certain length then they cut some with a nife some pinchoff the new growth with thier fingers some dead head the vine with a shovel its really up to you how but it is important to keep your vines burried and lets say well groomed.alway sanitizes what ever you use before moving on to the next plant keeps the spread of fungal problems down...mark
