I've had several female blossoms never make it, they just die and fall off. Is it just waiting for the plant to be bigger (it's pretty darn big at the moment in my opinion. I've had the first 3 females die, I've got two more developing, one on the main vine, one on the secondary.

Are they rotting before or after pollinating? Try shading them as they appear on the vine. Once they are ready to pollinate keep them shaded and put ice beside the female after pollination. Some people freeze water in 2 liter coke bottles. I just used cubed ice in a plastice 2 quart container. I had solid pollinations after I started doing that.

They aren't even making it to flower stage, the blossom grows about an inch long and then the whole thing rots and falls off. I've got some of the vine that is grown under the shade of a tree and I'll see if that helps.

Sounds like you could have a problem with nutrients (to much or to little of something). I'm not really experienced enough to advise on that but some of the more experienced growers can. You might want to repost this message on the General Discussion Board.
