my pumpkin finally started to vine and now has a 2 foot vine with a tiny 1/4" baby pumpkin at the end.
basically i would like to know when and where i should remove pumpkins in order to get a big pumpkin this year.
i am sure a pumpkin 2' from the root is not good and should be further away.
please give me advice.
thanks.

2 feet out is definetly too close ya wanna shoot for about ten feet or further. Some pumpkins will abort even at beachball size so let them grow a little bit before you remove any pumpkins.

at 2' you will pull your stump out of the ground, cull that one for sure, get at least 8-10 feet out
