i heard a rumor that when a pumpkin turns orange, it is done growing in size, is this true?

Ive never found that to be the case but usually when a pumpkin turns orange it is usually late in the season so in a way yes and no.

if a pumpkin is going to be orange, the older it gets the more orange it will be, try to shade it as much as possible to help slow the process
