I'm still trying to hand-pollinate a few females on my plant since I only have one going now, but all of my male flowers seem not to have any pollen left on them. This morning I tried 5-6 different males but they are all just stripped clean. I have a lot of bees out there. Did the bees get it all? Should I resort to using bags and rubber bands on the males to keep the bees when I expect another female to flower? Thanks.

Hey Maineiac,
Yep, Bee's are robbin' you blind. I had the same problem and finally banded some the night before using some of my daughters small hair braiding rubberbands. I did a photo series on the procedure I used and you can view it here: http://www.lsitk.com/pumkins Banding the night before makes all the difference. The difference is substantial, promise.
Good Luck!
