what do you do if gp plant outgrows garden? Is it ok if I just let it grow on the lawn? Or Should I put dirt in front of it?

They can grow on the lawn, no problem. Putting some dirt down may help. If you want the plant to stop, just cut off the vine ends and bury them in dirt.
