I have a small vineyard on the steep part of the slope and it levels out to a shallow grade. Should I plant for the plant for the creep to go across the slope, up the slope or down the slope? Any experience? TIA

my patch is on a slope too, I've always planted so the main vine goes across the slope, but I don't know if it would matter too much. The important thing is to excavate the soil around the growing pumpkin so it is growing on a flat surface... keep your favorite shovel handy.

I grow my two of my pumpkin plnats basically on the side of a mountain and ya just got to make sure the main is across the slope and like brigitte said just try to make sure the pumpkins are level and youll be fine.
